GPS OBD Buddy Compatibility with Automatic Gen 2 OBD Dongle

GPS/OBD Buddy can't currently authenticate properly with the Automatic Gen2 OBD dongle. After entering login/password credentials and clicking "Authorize" the authentication site returns a redirect to localhost. According to Jonathan (Automatic Customer Care & Community Specialist), their development team claims that this is an issue with the Harry's GPS/OBD Buddy app.
They claim that only LapTimer is compatible. Is there a fix or a plan to get GPS/OBD Buddy working with the Automatic Gen2 Adapter?
