OBD collects data too slow

Post by Chrissi »

Hi, I tried to connect my OBD Buddy to my Wi-Fi powered BerryKing OBD device, but the App is telling my the OBD is receiving data too slowly. Is the problem with my car or with the dongle? The car is a 2017 Opel Adam S
Thanks in advance!

I do not know this device. Provided it supports ELM327, it may work. Please see viewtopic.php?f=39&t=1500 and make sure your have selected the correct WiFi OBD Adapter Expert Settings. Compatible and supported devices are listed on http://www.gps-laptimer.de/compatibility/ios and http://www.gps-laptimer.de/compatibility/android

I got it to work, bought the Tonwon instead. It is running 13 Hz at peak, but the connection is slowing down to 0 Hz quiet frequently and then going up to 13 Hz again - is there anything I can do to get it to run more smoothly?
The device is an iPhone 11.

I’m sorry, but you need to follow the instructions on debugging OBD connections in this case too. Going down to zero means that LapTimer needs to reinitialize communication due to a protocol error. Start with trying the settings named and send a log in case this doesn’t help.

I got it running somehow in 3 Hz in the Laptimer but it still went down to 0 Hz. I have sent you the log file.
