BT Audio support

Post by dbbarron »

I use a Zoom H5n audio recorder in-car which I typically later mix down and insert the audio track to videos. I sync with the on-camera mic in post production. I use both an in-car mic on the H5n and also have a rear bumper mic which nicely pics up exhaust note and tire noise.

I was wondering if I could use the monitor output of the H5n into some type of Bluetooth transmitter which I could pair with my iPHone (HLT master) as the audio track?

I don't think most of the BT transmitters 'look' like headsets in the software, they 'look' like stereo audio devices, so I'm not sure if they will work with HLT?

Thoughts? Experience?

In case a BT device considered a head set is connected while recording video, this data is used by iOS. Special cables to connect using the audio port have been discussed too: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1037#p6865
In case all if this doesn't work, you can replace the raw video's audio track and overlay it afterwards. Or exchange the audio track for the overlaid video.
