Tested before running cable through car and signal was very clear from the external Mic, much improved from the IPhone's but now in the car its harder to tell seems to have a clearer engine note but still with cockpit audio? I did think if all was well that the external Mic would disable the IPhone Mic

That's is what I want as well but just the opposite. I just want to hear the external MIC on my videos (hooked into my iPhone). That's it. How can this be fixed to handle both ways?
