GoPro only

Post by lee.pie »

Sorry if this has been asked before but is it possible to use the video from GoPro only and not use the camera on the iPhone?

Just working on it. It will get available in LapTimer v20 - sometimes in April.

Any update on how to do this? I would like to use the GoPro for video and have my iPhone on the dash for a lap timer to see each lap.

Thanks

This is available in v20 as announced.

The video documentation is not yet fully updated, but here are the steps:

MultiCam does not need to be enabled in Settings as before. Instead, you select the mode of video operation in the new dialog Video Operation. Enter it by tapping Video in Timer View. You will see four options - no cam, internal cam, internal and external cam, and external cam only. Select the last one and make sure you get a message connection is established. Return to Timer View by pressing Done - the HERO will be operated in background.
