external video naming convention

I renamed a video from a GoPro Hero3 to the link name for that video but left the extension as .mp4. It didn't automatically link the video. Do I have to change the extension to .mov too?

That didn't work either. I guess I'll try no extension next.

As far as I know, this doesn't work anymore since the videos aren't linked via the meta data anymore. At least for me and my Sony CAM, while the meta thing was working, I simply copied the videos to my iPhone and HLT linked them automatically. Now I have to manually reference them and HLT only memorizes the sync point.

Yes, please use Re-Link option available in Video Details: select a lap from Lap List, touch the NO VIDEO placeholder, and press Re-Link in the bottom (iOS) or top right +VIDEO (Android). The Video Documentation is updated too, please load it from www.gps-laptimer.de/documentation

The metadata approach has been removed.
