Hi,

As all currently available BT OBD dongles, it is not certified by Apple and will not connect. Sorry.

I'm a bit reserved supporting jailbroken phones. Jailbreaking is not illegal, but enables illegal actions (like software piracy). Furthermore, I like the iOS platform (as a user) as it makes sure a minimal quality level and consistency between apps is kept. I do not like the BT restrictions however.

So If i am correct, even if i jailbrake mine, i wont still be able to use bluetooth ?

if not are there any cheaper alternative to kiwi ? the kiwi is quite expensive :)

Also I read the document and understood some how, how the auto recalibiration work, does this mean if i mount the iphone however I like, it would still recalibrate ?
I have one of the cost effective mounts ( couple of pounds), would it matter ? do I have to have tom tom kit for maximum effeciency
This is almost same as mine

And lastly, would the software support qstarz extereme as a external gps receiver?

I appreciate that I have asked few question , but I guess it could be the question for anyone who have just bought the software so this answers might help them and me

Thank you for the great software

Have Apple indicated if the situation is likely to change in the future Harry?

Thank you

Automatic calibration works as long as the phone is positioned upright. It can be turned around the vertical axis.
QStarz devices work using BTStack GPS (with jailbreak).

As there has been a lot of discussion on this early, and they didn't change, I'd assume it will remain like it is.
Which means BT support for devices certfied by Apple (MFi program).
