OBDII info on a '00 C5 Corvette

Post by moespeeds »

Anyone know if the OBDII interface will work on a C5? I would love to get throttle position and RPM info through the lap timer, but I've been told by a friend it won't work on the '00 C5. Not sure if he really knows what he's talking about. Before I go pickup all the stuff for this, I wanted to confirm. Thanks!

1996: The OBD-II specification is made mandatory for all cars sold in the United States.
So in case the car has been sold in the US in 2000, it should have OBD II available. For Europe, EOBD (= OBD II) has become mandatory for cars starting in 2001, so you may be out of luck here. Please keep in mind although OBD II makes sure some basic emission parameters can be read out from all cars / any brand, not all parameters LapTimer reads in are available for all cars. RPM and throttle should be fine however.

I do have the OBDII port, so as long as it will read from it I should be good. I don't have an Iphone but my brother has one sitting right here he's tying to sell, so I'll just steal that. Thanks for the info!
