Doborder, does your obdkey wifi drop data at all on you? If not, did you do any special tricks to get it to work better ?

I used the kiwi wifi and the obd key wifi which all have problems with dropping signals. They both pick it up rather quickly however, at the track it stinks as you loose data points such as speed or RPM info. I found that using the airplane mode was the most successful, however, over a 20 minute session it still dropped.
I moved on the the OBD key bluetooth, but I haven't been to the track yet with this so I don't want the same dropping issue with the obdkey bluetooth. I am running a jailbreak iphone 4 with Roqy so I have to figure out whether to invest in another GPS device that plugs into the iphone.... I am currently running qstarz 818x

Hope that helps

I am still interested in goPoint GL1 OBD-II so that I can run my qstarz 818x

Harry,
any new on goPoint GL1 OBD?
also my update rate is 3hz for obd2
Is that why my speed and rmp is a bit off?
Anyway around it other than goPoint?
If not I will stick with external GPS only

Thanks

The goPoint is not scheduled yet, sorry. OBD speed with WLAN will have a penalty in terms of update rate, I have no tested numbers. The dominant element in the OBD chain is the speed of the car's bus however.
