Collecting RPM data from a pre OBDII engine

Post by green puma »

Folks

I have a SR 20 DET with Nissan EVU ( +Nistune) that I would like to collect RPM data either via the consolt port ( Nissan pre ODB drag port) or from the ECU signal. Surely this has been solved ( I tried searching but didn't find much). If I have to buy a data logger I will , what is suggested as working best with HLT?

Thanks

You can't go the OBD II path, so things are difficult. You may check a solution like ASL's RaceCapture devices. You will need custom wiring for this. In case your ECU has any Bluetooth access and you have insights into the protocol used, you can use LapTimer's scripting option. Apply for participating in the developer program in this case.
