my obd connection is quite inaccessible, so I'd like to connect it today and leave it there all the way on the track day tomorrow:
is there any issue for leaving it attached for so long?
there will be some highway and a couple of shorter trip here and there.
I don't know anything about cars so I wonder if the added module may have some effects on the car health.

I'm not a professional mechanic, but there are lots of fixed mounted systems for cars with all sorts of sensors, cameras and obd connectivity. These are connected all the time and don't seem to bother. The logging of the OBD data is a read only action (as far as I understand) so I don't see any possible danger for the car or the ecu. Personally I've done some longer logging sessions with VCDS on VAG cars and never encountered problems.

Maybe it is best to contact the OBD manufacturer? But take care about your power supply as long as the OBD dongle does not turn off when ignition is off. The KiwiWifi has a switch, but does not turn off itself. I regularly forget to turn it off...
