update rate for cheap chinese OBD wifi

Post by doborder »

Does any one know if there is a big difference between Kiwi Wifi and the cheap chinese version on ebay in terms of update rate?
I only have the cheap chinese version and I can only get up to 3hz on my 2010 Nissan GTR.
Any feed back would be appreciated?

I'm not sure if the update rate is lower due to the device or If kiwi wifi will be slow as well

Isn't the update rate dependant on the cars OBDII bus?
Hence the varying speeds for different cars.

The bus is the main component. However, there are differences between the OBD dongles too. I tested the Kiwi on a 911 with 7.0 Hz, OBDLink did between 10-11Hz... Probably not representative, but an observation.
