OBD 2 LX connection

Post by Bobl36 »

I am at an autocross test & tune now, with the timed event tomorrow. I recently upgraded t Gran Prix and added the recommended OBD 2 on my '99 Miata 1.8 with 5-speed trsns. Good overall results except I can't get the OBD data in analysis on overlayed lap/video of any runs. The OBD does capture vehicle data on its own. Have i missed a step in upgrade of GP, a step with the OBD. what else need to be done?

Hi,

OBD recording and basic overlays to video is supported for both Petrolhead and GrandPrix. The later adds a second gauge. So the issue is not about the upgrade or edition but some issue with OBD data. First off, '99 is a very early OBD II implementation, so please be prepared to see issues and slow data rates. Next, I'd like to understand what the status of OBD with the engine running is so far: in Sensor List, is the LX shown and marked green? Which rate does it show. When switching to LapTimer ‣ Analysis ‣ Realtime ‣ Engine, do you see data updates?
