BMW E36 OBDII compatability

Post by SteveceeM3 »

Apologies in advance if this has been covered elsewhere, but a pretty exhaustive search found nothing to address my specific question.
I drive a 98 E36 M3. This IS an OBD II car, but other's product documentation (AIM SOLO specifically) says the output is too slow and therefore doesn't work. Does anyone have evidence that any of the listed/supported OBD II devices WILL work with HLT and a 98 E36?
Thanks!

I have seen the same info but there are YouTube videos of other video overlay systems providing throttle and rpm on the e36.

Has anyone gotten this to work at all?
