roqyBT4 and Bluetooth OBDs!
Re: roqyBT4 and Bluetooth OBDs!
You need to get the gear ratios for each gear and the final drive ratio for your car in order for the gear calculations to be accurate. Google is your friend.
Re: roqyBT4 and Bluetooth OBDs!
this is all i can find??
Vehicle speeds mph @
1,000 rpm (ratio)
1st
13/40
2nd
19/37
3rd
31/43
4th
38/39
5th
38/31
6th
46/31
Final Drive
17/67 = 0.2388
and no idea what shift flat % is lol
put i'll put it in trouble shooting section

Re: roqyBT4 and Bluetooth OBDs!
Those don't look right. The numbers for your car should be relatively close to the default settings for each gear. All of the ratios, with possible the exception of 6th and possible 5th gear should have values greater than 1.
Re: roqyBT4 and Bluetooth OBDs!
Calculating the ratios gives these figures which look ballpark, 4th being nearly 1 to 1.
1st
13/40 = 0.325
2nd
19/37 = 0.514
3rd
31/43 = 0.720
4th
38/39 = 0.974
5th
38/31 = 1.225
6th
46/31 = 1.484
Final Drive
17/67 = 0.2388 =0.254

Re: roqyBT4 and Bluetooth OBDs!
Not sure where you are getting your data from, but here are my gear ratios for a BMW E46 M3, which as I said are fairly close (within .5 or so) to HLT default values.
1st: 4.23
2nd: 2.53
3rd: 1.67
4th: 1.23
5th: 1.00
6th: .83
Final Drive: 3.62
I have two other vehicles that I tested, another BMW and a Ford SUV and all of the gear ratio values for each gear had similar values.

Re: roqyBT4 and Bluetooth OBDs!
I've found the right figures but still not working correctly and i have issues depending on what version of HLT i use.

Re: roqyBT4 and Bluetooth OBDs!
I am having an issue using the most current version of LapTimer pro. I am using roqybt4, with a PLX Kiwi bluetooth.
Everything is able to connect, and laptimer pro shows rpm data etc. However, after 16 updates (blue/green icon flashes), the obd data drops out for 4-5 seconds, then starts again. This cycle repeats indefinitely. DashCommand, also using roqybt4, does not experience this issue, so I have to conclude the problem is in laptimer pro.
I am trying to use the shift light, but it is currently not reliable because of this issue.
Any ideas?
Thanks for the help.

Re: roqyBT4 and Bluetooth OBDs!
I am not familiar with the PLX Kiwi device, but roqybt4 is designed to be used with non-apple certified/approved Bluetooth interface devices on a Jailbroken iPhone (such as the eBay OBD Bluetooth interfaces). IIRC, the PLX interface is Apple approved and should not need roqybt4. For that reason, roqybt4 may actually be causing your problem.lastelement21 wrote:I am having an issue using the most current version of LapTimer pro. I am using roqybt4, with a PLX Kiwi bluetooth.

The Wifi version is Apple approved, not the Bluetooth one.

Yup, roqybt4 is required to use this device.bulls23 wrote:The Wifi version is Apple approved, not the Bluetooth one.
