sorry im not using kiwiwifi, using a clone , but getting 1ghz from a 996 gt2, but sometimes it shows 2ghz?

These are Hz, not GHz 
1 Hz means you get one complete set of OBD values per second. That matches the internal GPS but is not particularly much. Although a branded OBD is probably a little better optimized, the main bottleneck is the diagnostic gateway (OBD) built into your 996. Check my first post in this thread, both are 997 models:
2005 Porsche 911 C2 1.4Hz
2011 Porsche 911 GTS 7.0Hz

I have the GoPoint BT1 and I'd love to see any kind of coolant temp reading for my porsche 996

We have become a little off topic on this thread. All future postings on OBD Kiwi Update Rate benchmarking only please...
@philooo, coolant and oil temperature reading, display is fully supported in LapTimer. Version 18 will add a video overlay gauge in addition. For Porsches, no change to my knowledge, they deliver coolant temp, but do not map oil temperature to standard IDs. For further discussions, please open a new topic, thanks.

The GTI will be a CAN bus based car. Please try LapTimer ‣ Administration ‣ Settings ‣ Expert Settings ‣ OBD Tweaks / CAN Multi Requests ‣ 3 PIDs / adaptive and you should see around 7 Hz. The S2000 has most probably no CAN bus. Typical values for per-CAN is 1 or 2 Hz.
NB: The above CAN switch is a global switch and not car specific. You need to remove it when driving the S2000...
