PLX Kiwi, HLT GPE 17.1.1 and 2013 BMW M5

Post by M54ccibo »

EDIT...sent logfile per OBD debugging. Sorry for the duplicate post.

Trying to get the PLX Kiwi Wifi to work properly with the 2013 BMW M5. I can connect, however, the RPM is WAY off (it fluctuates between an accurate number, i.e., 800RPM at idle and 33000!) and the shift light flickers on/off constantly.

Please help. Tried to change some of the expert settings (force sequential, exclude PIDs known to cause some BMW problems) but cannot get this to work. FWIW, the PLX with the app Dash Command works perfectly.

Hi,

Received your log. Same issue like that discovered two days ago with a TT. LapTimer doesn't handle multiple RPM / TPS / VSS replies correctly, leading to jumping values. I have submitted a bug fix release 17.1.4 already, that will hopefully fix that. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks Harry. Soo close. I drove Laguna Seca on Saturday, woke up Sunday AM and the update was on the Apple store. No biggie, there will be more events!
