Hi,

Thought I start a number of polls to better understand how LapTimer is populated and perceived.
Thanks a lot for your feedback!

Harry,
seems I was the first to respond, can't see the poll now but I said it had more features that I expected, But I would head towards can't keep up with the updates.
I would like to see a stable programme, without the continuing 'I want this feature', upgrades only for new external hardware, GPS OBDII readers etc.
At the moment I only use the lap timer funtion on track.
I could have used the autocross last year had I still been sprinting!
Video funtions I do not use as I am not allowed to use sucker mounts on the tracks I go to.
Hope that's helpful.

Harry, you should allow one to chose top two answers.

I would answer, "The app has a lot more features than I expected, I really enjoy it" but also that "there are some features I'm missing."

Thanks!

same for me. I love this App, but would love it even more if it had:
- support for landscape mode in all displays (Useful when you switch video recording on and off)
- some screens like in DashCommand to view more ODB values at the same time
- full resolution screen on iPad
- fix focus camera
- fixed disconnection problems with Kiwi

thanks again for all you work Harry.

Here is the status (inline):
- support for landscape mode in all displays (Useful when you switch video recording on and off) -> v16 or beyond
- some screens like in DashCommand to view more ODB values at the same time -> not planned, will probably be a new app
- full resolution screen on iPad -> available, as a separate app 'LapTimer Trainer'
- fix focus camera -> v15
- fixed disconnection problems with Kiwi -> v14.4
To not run into a new feature request thead, please use the 'Feature Request' area.

It may seems strange but I voted both :
- Some features I'd like are missing
- The app has a lot more features than those I actually use

Not strange, I believe this is pretty common :-) I know very well about additional features asked for, it is more difficult for the other side...

Hi Harry,

Many thanks for this great app. Some of my colleagues / friends use it as well and I'm amazed how good everybody talk about it. So far have not heard any negative feedback. Great job. For the time being I've only tested it on self made road tracks. Whenever I show the app to track days enthusiasts around me their eyes look like the ones of a young boy about to get a fancy Christmas gift...

I'll try it on go-karting in few days (you'll get a new race track to certify :geek: )... and still need to find a proper mount to put it on my thigh.

I've setup up all the car specs (RS4 V8) on it and tried it with the OBDKey of a friend. I love the RPM with the power / torque zones. Calculated speeds by ratio are pretty accurate.

I have not yet tried video overlay on multiple laps so I can not tell you if my iPhone 4s skips every other lap or if it records them all. I saw on the forum this is a major upcoming fix in release 15.

In addition to the app itself, what surprises me really is the level of support which you provide. I mean look at the forum posts - you answer them all. I have even a friend who was in contact with you one day before track day and had a bug... and you fixed it for him till late in the evening.

Now the only thing which I need to buy is an OBD WiFi - I'll most probably go for an PLX Kiwi WiFi.

If you're looking for beta-testers on v15, you can write down my name into your list of volunteers

Kind regards,
Jerome
