Dual XGPS170

Post by zr1ab1 »

The Dual web site has not displayed the XGPS150 pages now for a couple of days. So have been unable to download the firmware update. Would it be available from this site some where?

Also, wondering when the XGPS170 may be anounced as supported by Lap Timer?

Isn't it only interesting for aviation purposes? Sure it has 10Hz but all other features wouldn't bring an advantage for HLT or am I missing something?

Hi,

Although there are still some problems with the site, the firmware request page seems to work. Dual is working on this. Please note the XGPS170 is not positioned to replace the XGPS150 and will rarely be a valid alternative for LapTimer users.

I see that Dual will be offering an exhange program of the XGPS150 to the 170.
Now I wonder wht Dual will be doing with the returned items?

Maybe they developed some kind of piggy bag layout in the new case with the additional aviation hardware and simply plug in the old XGPS150 ;-)

I got the email from them. They are giving a rebate of $50 if sending the XGPS150 back to get the XGPS170 - but the XGPS170 model costs $799 :!: :!: completely different market for that product - not for laptiming :D
