QSTARZ BL-1000GT

Post by Devilstorm »

Hi,
I bought this GPS unit from QSTARZ, because they have in description Harry Laptimer. It is BL-1000GT. GPS is connected to mobile, Qstarz BLE GPS view app works fine. I started HL, add GPS sensor but it is still not avaliable :( Is not possible connect it by BT?

Please kill the Qstarz BLE GPS app. While running, it will connect to the GT and block any other app from accessing it. In addition, please make sure you have BT LE sensors enabled in LapTimer's Expert Settings. You can check in Administration ‣ Sensor List. It will show a warning in case BT LE sensors are disabled.

Thanks Harry for answer. I had Qstarz BLE app killed. Problem was in pairing by BT. I tried procedure by youtube video for BT-Q818T, but it is not same. I got message from qstarz support and now all works fine.

If somebody could have same issue...

Procedure for BL-1000GT
The steps to do:
1. Power on the device
2. Do not pair the device.
3. In Harry's Laptimer: Administration -> Settings -> Expert Settings -> Use Bluetooth LE Sensors enable
4. In sensors list change from Available to All
5. Application should detect the device as Qstarz BLE GNSS

Thanks for the feedback.

Most BTLE device need no pairing, true.
To make sure there are no misunderstandings, #3 is a one time action, #4 is not required. Once a sensor connects, it will be “available” and show up automatically.

Hi Harry,

I'm thinking of bying a Qstarz BL-100GT for use on iOS.
I wonder why this device isn't listed in your accessories list?
Does this device support direct access and 10 Hz refresh rate?

Greetings

The GT is missing in the compatibility lists for unknown reasons 8-)
I need to update this some time.
LapTimer has an individual BTLE based integration for the GT on both Android and iOS.

Hi All,
Does anybody know if HLT is also taking the g-force data from this device?

Regards
Chris
