New Dual Skypro external GPS

Post by 38F/62R »

Available the week of Aug 29. http://gps.dualav.com/explore-by-lifest ... -apps-new/

It updates at up to 10 times per second. The battery supposedly lasts for 10 hrs.

Will it integrate with the current version of the LapTimer?

I was surprised to see these are in stock now at one of the retailers. Do they actually update at 10 hz? The product announcement says "Up to 10 position samples per second" . I wonder what "up to" really means.

That probably means there is no guaranty ;-) That is other than the Garmin Glo, they claim 10 Hz but NEVER deliver it (instead it runs at 3-4 Hz). But back to the XGPS160: I have seen LapTimer running at 10 Hz (and you know LapTimer always shows real / measured update rates, not any standard values), so this should be a really good option.

I received my new XGPS160 today. Haven't been to the track with it yet, but the update rate is holding steady at 10Hz.
