Emprum signal low

Post by BartMW »

Had trouble with the Emprum yesterday, so doing a test today I find that I get 4 full green bars of signal using the iPhone 4 internal GPS and only 3 yellow bars when I connect the Emprum.

Anyone having a similar issue?

Both colorings cannot be compared. While the internal GPS gets its rating from accuracy, external GPSes get their rating from the number of satellites. Nevertheless, both displays are calibrated in a way only "green" is a save situation to get reasonable results from LapTimer. For the Emprum, it hould definitively be a green rating (just check the number of satellites, that is more precise).

Thanks Harry,

Great information! I'll play around and see how to get a better signal.
