Speed not recording

Post by Adon1911 »

I am using my Ipod touch 4g with the latest operating system to record my motorcycle rides. I love the Optrix and what it can do but it isn't functioning correctly.

Everything works well with VideoPro except for the speedometer always showing 0 mph. This is the main reason I paid for the app and I really want to get it working right. It says 0 mph before recording, while recording, and after it has been overlaid.

I have already restarted it a couple times, made sure the settings were correct, and re calibrated the G-force mutliple times. Any help or suggestions?

Here is the video I recorded showing the problem: http://youtu.be/8CVbjbar2j0

Thanks

Hi,

It looks like you have no GPS connected to your iPod touch? Please note that although your iPod is able to get a very rough position using cellular network triangulation, that's not good enough to get speeds. Other than the iPhone, the iPod touch has no full GPS built in. So in case you want to add speed, you need an external GPS. Using the Optrix case, it needs to be a wireless solution like the Dual XGPS150.

Hope that helps,

Harry
