Dear friend of LapTimer,

We will start LapTimer v21 beta testing shortly. We have changed the process to apply for participation slightly for 2017.

To apply, please follow these steps:
  1. Start LapTimer on your smartphone
  2. Follow Administration ‣ Add-ons
  3. In case you do not see "LapTimer v21 Beta" in the top of the list, press "Refresh"
  4. Select "LapTimer v21 Beta" and "Request"
  5. Fill in the sections marked using ALL UPPER CASE and send the mail to me

In case the application is incomplete, I will come back. Otherwise please wait for instructions to download the beta app. I plan to have a first version available in one week. Please do not poll for the precise date of availability here. ;-)

Looking forward to your check-ins!

Hi Harry,

Do you a link to the list of features in v21?

Harry,

I have the same crash/go back to home screen issue described below when I press the 'Request' button to apply for the Beta. Is there any other way to sign up?

Once the first beta arrives, I will publish a list in the private beta area.

Please check your Gmail setup first. Can you start Gmail and send a mail to yourself? Next, check LapTimer's permissions. You find them in Android's Settings app in the Apps section.

Harry, yes we went through this troubleshooting procedure in the linked thread. The conclusion was as follows:
Yes, looks like an issue with older OS versions. I will fix this for the next release. As I am full on LapTimer v21 development already, this will probably take some time to get available. Not sure I can issue a separate v20 bugfix release here.
It's a "Catch 22", the issue is supposed to be fixed in v21 but I cannot upgrade to v21 because of the issue.

Has the testing started already? Didn't get feedback to my mail, have tested v20 before.

Yes, v21 beta is ongoing already. I do not see an application from your address. Please go through the instructions above and try again.

Thanks, Harry
