Sneek Preview v15

Hi,

Time to show some features in v15 (spring release). Here is an early preview of LapTimer's new video overlay. Compared to 14.4, it inserts points of interest near current position, corner and straight speeds, intermediates and full time, including a countdown. All features can be selected individually.

Harry, thats superb. Brilliant addition to an already great programme.
Couple of things I found distracting.
The countdown to the sector POI hid what was going on in the video.
The slide out bars on the left distracts from the video, maybe a fade in/out instead of the slide in/out.
Great aid to rembering the name of the corners, the only ones I am certain of are Carousel, and Kleine Carousel!
Roll on the spring!

Yes, I believe I will move the countdown to the top right sizing it like all the other elements.

Hi,

Next version available: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qT96c3PHwhk
  1. I've removed the slide in and replaced it by a fading effect as proposed.
  2. POI and speed inserts are moved up.
  3. Intro and extro are supported, i.e. the lap is not cut to lap time.
  4. Count down animation, sector, and lap times are smaller now and moved to the top right.
  5. The sample lap is the last lap I did this year on Nordschleife - already pretty wet and cold...
  6. Sample video has been recorded using an iPhone4S, it is Full HD :-)

Looking good Harry, GAS, assume that's throttle opening?
All I need now is a car with OBDII and to live closer to the 'ring!
I'm surprised, maybe I shouldn't be, at the processing power of the modern phone, (ably assisted by Harry's programming talents of course) enabling us to have such a great app.
Thanks for the hard work Harry.

Amazing, I cannot wait for v15!

A great car, on a great track, with a great telemetry/video system! Oh, and I forgot a great pilot to keep this pushed car on the track...

The circle representing the G-Forces seems to be refreshed a lot more often than with my Iphone4 (non-S).
