Harry,

thanks for the information on the new update.
I'll hold off on this one as there is no support for NMEA with Tom Tom.
I did however, request support and certification for your product as I only purchased the Tom Tom cradle specifically for use with Lap Timer.
I also attached a link to the forum discussing this subject in my emil to Tom Tom, hopefully they understand and get it rectified very soon.
Love your killer app.
Leon

Hello everybody,

Good news for TomTom users. :-)

TomTom came back to me today. They will authorize access to their NMEA interface. I have no final timeline, and I certainly need to release a new version of LapTimer to enable the direct access again. Not sure there will be an additional 14.4.3 that allows me enabling it. Most probably, I will include TomTom direct access to version 15.0

Thanks Steve, well put.
I did the same thing but have only received correspondence via email.
They told me to contact support via their number but when i rang, the message said they are unable to assist at this time, call back later.
I hope they can get their S%!# together soon so we can start using the TT kit again.

Thats Great news Harry!
Cant wait for the update.
Will the issue with the autofocus be rectified?
Can I also say that I would love to see an add on that can record your 0-60mph or 0-100kph acceleration time.
thank you

This is fabulous news! I haven't updated my Pro because of the lack of support for the kit, but will as soon as a version is released with it back in. Hopefully that happens before spring here in the States.

Thanks Harry!

Hi,

Just to keep you TomTom car kit users informed:
  • LapTimer (and all other apps) is now authorized to use the car kit by TomTom
  • All app versions starting with 15.0 will have direct access enabled again
  • There will be no release ahead of 15.0

I guess you'll just have to release 15.0 that much sooner then! ;-p
