Lap SPEED vs time

Post by KraftwerkTurbo »

I did my first logging with laptimer. I have 20 laps in 2 sessions. The data I have is laptime, speed and time stamp.
Laptime meaning is clear. But what does the speed data represent? It cannot be average speed for the lap since the shortest lap time is NOT showing the highest speed.

Example:
Laptime Speed
87.16 59.8
90.33 64.1

LapTimer uses the distance recorded to calculate avg speed. As this distance varies a lot (every in-accuracy adds distance), the avg speed calculation comes with quite an error. I plan to calculate avg speed from lap time and a standard distance in the future.
