Calculating distance

Post by **betsy** »

Is there any way I can work out distance from a overlaid video, on a straight section only.
I did a straight line top speed run and interested to know the distance from start until I let off the loud pedal...

I'd suggest to use the Data Recording area (instead of a video) here. In case you have a GP edition, you navigate to the Charts area, set the cursor to the start of the straight, read out the distance from start displayed, move it to the end, and subtract the first value from the one displayed now.

To get the above feature, yes. As an alternative, you may export your lap to .csv and read the distances from here. It is not convenient however. Upgrading from Rookie + old Video Feature is not trivial by the way. This configuration requires a Petrolhead update first plus a GP upgrade afterwards. Please contact me by email in case you plan to go this path.
