There is indeed a Cancel trigger available since v17 or 18 - but it is rarely used. The new mechanism is versatile and does not use a specific trigger with a position. Instead, if a recording is ongoing and you stand still for more than 3 minutes anywhere, the lap will be stopped. This is to work around situations were users ran out of memory because LapTimer continued for hours.

Database View reveals the data stored locally, not a lot more. There are three functions available on a finger tip: Check Data for low level database repair actions, Backup as a shortcut to Export the full database to a mail, and an option to create a local duplicate of the database.

Besides this, it is possible to restore one of the local copies or automatic backups stored by LapTimer in critical situations.

The last item allows a convenient recovery action for something that required copying files manually in v19.

Cancel triger is a good point for me :p
But the triger is often not present on downloadable and certificated track, and if we add it, the track become no certifiated, and laptime no send to the server ?

Ok thanks for your explain of the database using :p

The reason we even remove Cancel triggers from submissions is it can lead to lost data when mis-detected. Due to the 3 minutes timeout available in v20, it became even less necessary.

This is well after the fact but I just noticed the Drag Simulator in v21 Analysis and wondered what it is, how it works and what to do with it.

Drag simulator is kind of a physical simulation based on vehicle data entered. You can use it to verify your data is sound. It is a tool for users interested in the physical dependencies and rules of power development.
