Actually this means automatic transfer of videos from external action cams (like HEROs) to the iPhone will be automated just like it is for iPhone MultiCams already. ;-) I'm aware there are issues with this part for iOS8 and that is has been difficult to make it work for some users for old iOS versions too. It is one of the open items in current beta testing and I hope to have it fixed for iOS8 in the release version.

Does anyone have any benchmarks, or know of benchmarks for the various action cam wifi transfer rates? My Hero3 Black is really really slow, and I've seen there was a large speed bump on the 3+. I'm curious about the other models (Hero4 base, silver) and the Sony cams.

I assume you are asking for footage transfer rates? They are slower than they should be. I will send numbers once I have them.
