LapTimer uses the POI Detection corridor selected in LapTimer -> Settings -> GPS to decide whether you cross a trigger. This however should not be the first change you apply. Instead, use a trigger direction to limit triggering to a certain driving direction. This is helpful especially if the trigger is caught accidentally on a counter straight. To add a direction, goto Lap List and scroll to your track sections. Select the first row showing "User Track Set" (or similar). Select the trigger and scroll down to the Trigger section. Enter a valid driving direction into the Direction row. 0 degree is North, 90 is East, 180 South and 270 West. It does need to be super correct - LapTimer limits driving directions to this value plus/minus 90 degree (which is a lot).

NitroP,

Another option is to move the location of the POI that is false triggering a little distance from the actual location, so it's further away from the part of the course that's causing the false trip, but still close enough to trip when it's supposed to.
