The varying OBD rate is most probably due to a system overload. Due to the request / reply pattern, any lag in processing on the LapTimer side has an impact on the update rate. I have a test version for Android that dedicates a full thread just to OBD processing and this version delivers a more constant rate (i.e. no exceptional lags). This version is not yet stable however, and will require quite some effort to cope with synchronizing the parallel activities.gplracerx wrote:The 8-9 Hz with the Kiwi wasn't stable at an actual event. In case you are still using an iPod plus a 10 Hz GPS and this high frequency OBD approach, it is likely it is time for the next gadget generation. The iPod touch devices come with significant less computing power than iPhones and iPads.
