So, correct me if I'm wrong, but when the speed in corners and straights fades in and out of view (very cool!), it does Green for Straights, and Red for corners?

If so, what I'd like to see is instead of that color scheme, use green for both when the speed for that corner is faster than your best time for that space, and red if not - easy way to compare your lines at a glance as you watch your video.

BTW, the video overlay on continuous video is the #1 (maybe only) reason I got the app.... Keep up the great work!

Hope you are all aware how much space you will need on your 256GB iPhones
Overlaying requires double the space the overlay needs. Just to look into one example:

Record a session with 10 laps 3:00 each with an iPhone 4S -> 5.7GB (25 mins 190MB each) for the raw video
Overlay one lap -> 5.7 GB (raw) + 0.6 GB (overlaid) + 0.6 GB (temp) -> 6.7 GB peak storage requirement
Overlay all laps -> 5.7 GB (raw) + 5.7 GB (overlaid) + 5.7 GB (temp) -> 17.1 GB peak storage requirement

This is still a smartphone ;-)

Well, Nobody said it had to be at 1080p! I'm finding that 640x480 is plenty for video - I put it on youtube anyway, and even on my 27" mac, the video looks just fine. This reduces space considerably.

So here's my math:
Googling, 640x480 compressed vid is about 675k/sec. Laps on US road race tracks average around 2 min. Sprint races are somewhere around 18 laps, so thats 1.39 gig for a whole race. Thus for me, should be easy from a memory standpoint.
For my 2hr stints in my enduros, the laps are about 1:45 and 2hrs long, so that'd be about 4.6 gig. Your app records that much video easily already, so on my 16 gig phone, should be enough even at 10 gig total to process a stint right?

Please keep in mind I need to do a product design matching as many user's preferences as possible. For most users, max quality is the preferred selection, so I need to take that scenario as the standard. Most user will not even start thinking about reducing resolution, as they do not care about things like this. They want to start the app and drive. But, I do not want to disagree in general, LapTimer can be tweaked a lot to be used in non standard situations too. The feature requests are on the list, I will prioritize and schedule.

I understand. Thanks for the feedback.

I guess regardless, continuous overlay video is what I've wanted for 20 years regardless of resolution. I can always use other tools for that, but your is the best so far.. hoping you will do some flavor of that instead of just one lap at a time.
