Use barometric pressure instead of GPS altitude
I see that a couple of environmental sensors are compatible with HLT. The specification on the barometer on the Texas Instrument device is a relative precision of +/-0.12hPa or about +/-1m. That's way better than a GPS. It would be nice, if one had one of these, to replace the GPS altitude data with barometric pressure.

Yes, that's on my list. It is another topic to add some sensor fusion. Barometric sensors are built into many modern smartphones too.
