Video with iPhone 3G
I'm jailbroken with an iPhone 3G and have the app cycorder to enable video recording. Essentially, all it does is take a lot of pictures as fast as possible with the 3G's camera to imitate recording. Is it possible to record videos with harry's lap timer on my phone?
Re: Video with iPhone 3G
Hi,
This will not work in my opinion. LapTimer uses the iOS4.2/4.3 APIs to record videos.

Re: Video with iPhone 3G
I have tested this on my brothers iPhone 3G (iOS 4.2.1 the latest firmware for this device) and when you klick on record LapTimer starts the record.
But when you klick in stop it says that the video can't be saved.
So I don't know if LapTimer really records a Video (with a low framerate) or if its just doing nothing

As far as I know, even with 4.2.1 the 3G can't record videos without a 3d party app (I can recommend iCamcorder by Manfred Nerurkar, 15fps). So Harry would have to somehow implement or link to a 3rd party video tool into lap timer. Even if that would somehow work, I guess the 3G's CPU power / available memory wouldn't handle the simultaneous logging and recording...
