Apologies if this has been answered -- I couldn't find anything with search.
I want to record video with my GoPro and have LapTimer do the data overlay, but I plan on purely using the GoPro video, no PIP using the iPhone's video. Is there a way to tell LapTimer to trigger the GoPro to shoot video, but not bother recording video from the iPhone's built-in camera? It's only heating up my phone and draining power and space needlessly. It seems like this should be simple, but it seems that the only way to trigger the GoPro is to enter video mode where I don't see a way of deactivating the iPhone camera (only switch to the front camera, etc.).
Thanks!
GoPro video overlay without recording iPhone video?
Re: GoPro video overlay without recording iPhone video?
That's a frequent feature request but not supported currently. It is planned for v19. Till then, select a low resolution for the phone's video to reduce the load both for processing and storage.

+1 good request, thanks for working on this Harry.

So I recorded GoPro video, but forgot to start iPhone video. Does this mean I can't do an overlay with HLT?

Re: GoPro video overlay without recording iPhone video?
No, just copy the video over to the iPhone (check the video doc and follow the standard instructions) without adding a metadata item. Next, select any lap from Lap List belonging to the video, press Edit, press New Video and select the GoPro video.

I don't really need this feature until the MX WiFi firmware issues are fixed (will allow for connection of both Mx WiFi and iPhone to GoPro WiFi). Still though, I'd like to keep this feature on the radar.
