Re: OBD WLAN dropping. Using w/Jailbroken iPhone4+RoqyBT4+GP
I'm trying to be carefull... ;-) As my obdlink works with USB and Wifi I tested both and did not see any issue on ODB command level with my car. Then while trying to connect via Wifi I've spotted that the channel for adhoc network is 1st channel. In my neighborhood most of the Wifi Devices are on 1s...

Re: OBD WLAN dropping. Using w/Jailbroken iPhone4+RoqyBT4+GP
Using AT commands I increased the timeout to the maximum possible value and shortened the "keep alive" connection parameter on OBDLINK. ATPP 03 SV FF ATPP 03 ON ATPP 17 SV 10 ATPP 17 ON ATZ It works the same though (breakes connection in more leess same intervals). Seems more complex issue...

Re: OBDKey WLAN dropping. Using w/Jailbroken iPhone4+RoqyBT4
Based on discussion of OBDLINK forum they are aware. Their position (quite logical) is they do not support issues with the 3RD part applications/systems. On the other hand on their site and Marketing materials it is said it works with few iPhone apps including your Lap Timer. I would say that does n...

Re: OBDKey WLAN dropping. Using w/Jailbroken iPhone4+RoqyBT4
I did further tests. - Connected to OBDLINK with Hyperterminal and disable all power saving features in the OBDLINK itself (Voltage change, Voltage for sleep, wake up, etc). - Updated ios version to iOs5 (final one not the developer beta) - tested the OBDLINK with other car (Skoda Octavia 1.8 TFSI a...

Re: OBDKey WLAN dropping. Using w/Jailbroken iPhone4+RoqyBT4
I have exactly the same issues with OBDLINK Wifi (5-10 sec drops of connection every 40 to 50 seconds).
- changing brightnes and turning the automatic brightness off
- turning off and on wifi
- forgeting the network defined
- resetting network values
did not work. Any clues ?

Re: configurable shift gear beep
The solution I saw (based on HW) is that it either it gives single loud beep on set RPM (or more advanced it is that it starts beeping just before the setup revs then frequency increases and beep becomes constant beep when you are in "red" area). Sound seems better for me as I'm concentrat...

configurable shift gear beep
Unless I missed it and this feature is already in place It would be nice that while measuring time or video recording there would be a configurable shift beep that tells driver without looking at the screen that he should change the gear ? Ideally: - ability to choose beep sound type (defined list o...

Re: Video recording more than one lap
Fine for me. Trying to use search before posting but sometimes it does not help (maybe that's why I missed this thread) . Anyway OBDLink Wiifi if on its way to me and I expect to have few more track days this year to test the Laptimer. Maybe we should have different types of triggers : Video go / Vi...
