Re: "Wivel" crowd funding live
More detail: At 50KPH, you're traveling at 13.9m/s. So at 50Hz the position change would be 0.3m per reading. This is about an order of magnitude less than the accuracy of consumer GPS, so noise will be a high percentage of the change in position reading. At 200kph, the change on position will be ab...

Re: "Wivel" crowd funding live
50Hz is completely unnecessary, especially if there aren't enough significant figures in the position data. All you'll get is multiple replicates of the same position and then a shift and more multiple replicates. Maybe if you were going 1000KPH...

Re: Restoring .hlptrl file
If I mail the data to myself it ends up on my MacBook Pro, not my iPhone. How do I get it on my iPhone or is there a way to access the MBP from my iPhone? I'm not aware of a way but I am not an expert. You must be downloading the email from your server to your MacBook Pro. Your iPhone can't access ...

Re: XGPS160 issues
1.5.1 works fine for me. I don't consider it a downgrade.llan981 wrote:I've read through the threads. I am just frustrated my XGPS160 is not working since upgrade to newer version. For avoidance of doubt, which versions work (downgrade or beta)?

Re: Track laps not splitting
Touch the track set line in lap list. Touch the Start/Finish POI, scroll to the bottom and touch direction. Set all the numbers to zero and save. Don't reload the track set or you will have to do this again.
I don't have an Android device. That would make SoloStorm very expensive for me.

Re: Sharing data between devices
Lap data can also be transferred directly between devices. It's a little complicated and not entirely intuitive, but it's worked pretty well for me. In Lap List, scroll to the bottom and select transfer. The instructions are there.

Re: Track laps not splitting
Try editing the Start/Finish and set the direction to 0.000. That will remove direction as a criterion. Then go to recalculate/Verify Lap. I don't think Harry as issued the update that improves direction calculation with RaceCapture devices yet. Also, what GPS rate are you using? A slower rate will,...

Re: export / import problem
That sounds like the file was corrupted somewhere along the line. Dropbox is free for files that size and in the past has worked well with HLT.

Re: export / import problem
How did you export? For a file that large, I would think you would need Dropbox rather than email.

Verify Lap doesn't change lap time
Does the Verify Lap function look at the Allow Low Speed setting? At my last autocross, the starting line was very close to the staging line. I like to start recording before I actually start to avoid the delay in starting the camera. But in this case, a new lap wasn't triggered when crossing the li...
