Re: Vehicle list help

v15 shows the speed at max power rpm (5500), v16 shows the speed at max rpm the engine can make (limit = limiter). The later has a certain meaning, the first one is a good approximation for the vehicle's max speed IN CASE IT HAS NO FUEL SAVING LAST GEAR OR IS A DIESEL ENGINE. As there are too many c...

Do you have any manual or other recording from your XGPS? In case you have, please export a lap too.

Re: Possible to overlay LapTimer data on GoPro video

Hi, Had a look into your export (see below). The trigger seems to be placed perfectly. The distance between the measured position and the trigger is 15m according to Google Earth. Looking into the GPS plot (internal sensor), it is pretty much to the outside and shows low accuracy (blue bubble). This...

Re: Newbie Question: won't run...

I've seen plenty of this situations ;-) As LT records accuracy, just try it out. Go outside, wait until LT is at 5m accuracy or so, start recording (Classic View), put it in your jacket, wait, stop recording, and watch the result. Both leather and cloth jackets have a big impact.

Re: Newbie Question: won't run...

You have put the phone into your jacket, that's the problem. This will instantly decrease GPS accuracy to a level LT has no chance to find triggers. So on a motorbike, either mount your device to the steering rod, or add a BT GPS, mount it somewhere around the dash and place the iPhone in a save loc...

Re: Problems with video overlays

Yes, that's the video stabilizer that seems to not work well on every situation. Seems this will be fixed in iOS6.

Re: Lap Timer and Armband (Go-Karts)

What's the background of the question? You will rarely use it as the standard is to measure it. Only in case calibration didn't work, you want to calculate it from GPS. This means LT derives the corner radius from the gps plot plus speed and calculates lateral acceleration from it.
