Re: XGPS150 5 Hz update.

The iPhone is not limited to 10Hz. In case you are not sure, check the Sensors list on which GPS sensor is currently used.

Re: GPS time sync to iphone clock

There are two 'times' displayed in the lap list. The actual lap time is derived from NMEA UTC time stamps and highly accurate. The date / time pair in the lap list is local system time, not GPS.

Re: GPS time sync to iphone clock

Hi, the relation between iPhone system time and GPS (UTC) is not documented. LapTimer stores whatever time stamps it receives as UTC time. In case of the internal sensor, it is timezone converted from whatever is delivered, for external and NMEA integrated external GPSes, this is the original GPS ti...

Re: Problems with video overlays

Please note the video does not need to be in the camera roll. Any place in the Photo app is fine. One interesting observation has been that access to the Photo app is limited if Location Services are turned off. Please check this too. Finally, acceleration treatment will be changed in v16, it has 30...

Re: Problems with video overlays

You may contact PLX, maybe they can help, all of the above topics are OBD. It is not necessarily the wifi, maybe there is a different problem.

Re: Viewing Additional OBDII Data In The Export File?

MAF is used to derive a number of other values, namely fuel consumption, power and torque developed. It is part of the recording - which could indeed be left out to be consistent... Oil temp is requested already and can be displayed in LapTimer, but it is real time only...

Re: Lap Timer and Armband (Go-Karts)

The function to calculate acceleration from GPS is located in Lap Details. It is optimized for 1 Hz GPS recordings.

Re: OBD Update Rates with KiwiWifi

Hi,

I do not see I can manufacturer specific data in the short term. You need to get your hands on the data (which typically costs a wealth of license fees), and - there are quite some manufacturers and cars out there ;-) So I need to focus on the standardized ids currently.

Re: Define Email Address for Export

As you ask so nice, I have added this (memorizing selection) to v16 a few minutes ago. I need to check the email topic, I'd like to not have the email entered within LapTimer bus instead get ahead of sending the email. I'm not sure iOS allows this.

Re: Viewing Additional OBDII Data In The Export File?

HI, LapTimer currently restricts recording to lapping relevant data only. There are some more items shown in real time, but they are not recorded. For engine diagnostics I'd recommend to go for another tool focussed on this. The reason I keep the number of items recorded small is to allow high updat...
