Re: What is your opinion on the features provided?

Harry, you should allow one to chose top two answers.

I would answer, "The app has a lot more features than I expected, I really enjoy it" but also that "there are some features I'm missing."

Thanks!

Re: Windshield Mounts

I've had very good luck using this mount with the Emprum. It's bendable but very solid. I did have to stick in a couple of pieces of thin foam to keep the phone solidly in the grip. I.e. foam that pushes on the back of the phone when in the mount. It's quite easy to rotate the phone in the mount. It...

Re: Landscape Orientation

Great suggestion! It's a real pain having to reposition - especially with wires tied up securely. Would be great to be able to start and run the app entirely in landscape mode.

Re: [SOLVED] OBD WLAN dropping. Using w/Jailbroken ...

I've been struggling with my Kiwi Wifi not just dropping some data regularly, but also dropping off all together. Sounds like this should all be fixed in 14.4. Can't wait for it! Yay! :)

Re: Video recording more than one lap

That sounds awesome! I find that on many tracks the start/finish line is somewhere in the middle of the main straight. Currently that means you never get to see a full run of the straight in the video. You see the second half of the straight in the beginning of the video and then the first half at t...

Re: Does XGPS 150 BT require jailbreak?

Harry,

Setting the expert setting to "Calculated" - is this a good idea even if you have an external GPS device like the TomTom Car Kit or the new Emprum UltiMATE?

Thanks,

Re: Does XGPS 150 BT require jailbreak?

I had an opportunity to try to the new Emprum UltiMATE GPS attachment for the iPhone this past weekend. I was at a 3 day event at Laguna Seca. As I reported to Harry - who is still wating for his - it seems to work! Here are my observations of using the Emprum chip vs. the TomTom Car Kit that I have...

Display Delay

I asked Harry the following: In a GoPro video I can see the display of LapTimer in the windscreen.    I noticed that the live timing display of your app seems to be delayed by a couple of seconds. Is this normal? The result is that when I do an overlay on the GoPro video that's correctly aligned wit...

Re: recording data to overlay video

Why don't you edit the GoPro video to the correct lap length and save as 720p. Then synchronize the video to the iPhone camera roll. In LapTimer go to the lap, edit and add the video to the lap. Finally press the overlay button.
