Re: Dual XGPS150 Firmware

Isn't there something about standard GPS only working properly up to a certain altitude/speed? I never manage to get my MX5 offf the ground! From Dual FAQ page I’m a pilot. Can I use the GPS Receiver in the cockpit? Yes. The GPS Receiver works with popular electronic flight bag apps including EFB, F...

Re: GoPoint BT1 and BMWs

iirc somewhere on the forum there is something about Lotus Elise and OBDII, and if you disconnect one of the pins the OBD reader will/should work.

Re: 150XGPS or 150XGPSE?

It's probably the CE mark showing EU compliance.
I think electrical goods have to have the CE mark for sale in the EU. hows that goods have met with relevant regulations and won't fry the user!
I'll check to see if my Dual is CE marked.

Re: FS: Emprum Ultimate Device

What's wrong with the dual XGPS and the iPhone 5.
It connects by bluetooth so the new type of connector should not be a problem, or am I missing something?
iirc the emprum connects by the dock connector, so will be affected by the change. £25 adaptor will be required.

Re: Steering angle?

Yep thats correct, Before HLT I was filming using a bullet camera and liked to get the wheel and dash in view. The dash gave some indication of speed and RPM, steering input was also shown. I think that brings the video to life seeing what the drivers doing, iphone through the windscreen is a little...

Re: 150XGPS or 150XGPSE?

I have a Dual XGPS 150 in the UK and works ok. Can't remember who I bought it off but it was shipped from Germany. If they cannot ship to Europe under the Dual brand it's maybe because someone else already owns that brand name. I know Dual as an Audio brand, although don't know if they are still in ...

Re: Steering angle?

In shot, meaning the video also shows the steering wheel, or part of. It means you cannot use a screen mount for the phone, but would have to have the iphone mopunted to the rear of the driver.

Re: Steering angle?

There is probably a reason why not, but...
Could you not ensure that the steering wheel is in shot, so you can get steering angle from that?
