Hi,
To record a video, you need to stay in LapTimer's Video view. Background video recording is on my feature request list, but not yet implemented.

Re: Getting Started.
Hi, Once LapTimer detects a trigger, it will switch to the trigger's POI Group / Track automatically. So please set the POI Group for both your Go and Stop trigger to your track "To Work". LapTimer is not designed to work in background, it requires you to run it in foreground while active....

Re: How to export lap data overlay to superimpose on GoPro v
Hi Charles, Overlays are not exported, but added to videos by LapTimer. So to use the standard overlay, you need to transfer your goPro video to your iPhone, select your lap, add the video and align it, and overlay it here. As an alternative, you can export all data needed for overlay to the CSV for...

Re: iPhone 5 won't import exported cars or tracks
Hi,
LapTimer v16 is downward compatible to the v15 format and should work just fine. What exactly happens when you long-press the attachment? Is it possible to select LapTimer? Do you get any message when opening it?

Re: Video with overlays not copied to PC
Hi Georg, The video shown in the snapshot is the raw video - not the overlaid one. Usually you generate overlays for all laps you like and delete the raw video afterwards to create space again. In case your iTunes is configured correctly, it should sync the overlaid video however. Thes overlaid vide...

Re: V16.6 Professional (probably) dumb question about menus
Hi, Seems to be a problem with the view hierarchy... Have you changed the items visible in the tab bar recently? This is the only way I could reproduce the problem: had Lap List in position #2 of tab bar, selected More, selected Edit, moved another view in position #2 and had Lap List behind More af...

Re: Elm327 WiFi setup w/iPhone 4s
These generic wifi's will use IP and port addresses like the branded ones. So typically, you do not need to adjust something within LapTimer. Can you please show your IP configuration first / post a snapshot: Settings app -> Wi-Fi -> press blue arrow of connected network.

Re: Transferring data (cars/tracks/laps/videos) to "Trainer"
In addition, you can use the device to device transfer outlined here: http://www.gps-laptimer.de/Trainer.html In case you want to transfer your videos, you need to go the path through iTunes - you need to relink the vids afterwards in addition as they will be stored in different locations... Actuall...

Re: Any tips on accesories (GPS, OBD) for iPhone 5 users?
Hi, Currently, it seems for iPhone5s a BT combination is the best choice: Dual XGPS150 + gopoint BT1 OBD I do not fell completely comfortable with two devices sharing available bandwidth, but that's the best option currently. Personally, I like a GPS dongle attached to the device better as I do not ...
