Re: iPad GPS related problems
After searching the web I applied these suggestions and got the iPad to work with the XPS150 reliably. Not sure each of these steps is necessary, but I didn't want to fiddle with it after I got it working. 1. In Privacy | Location Services turn off all other apps other than HLT. 2. Turn off Location...

Re: iPhone time vs GPS time
Harry, Thanks for the quick and thorough reply! I will use a stopwatch, but I also need to use HLT as I've given it a virtual reference lap with my target speeds for each section of the course. This way the Timer view can give me a running update of how I am doing against my target times. Assuming m...

iPhone time vs GPS time
Harry, Tomorrow is the Silver State Challenge Classic (sscc.us), a 90 mile open road time based rally. Many of the drivers and navigators are ultra competitive and I'm sort of catching the bug. In my 100mph class the goal is to reach the finish line EXACTLY 56:00.00 minutes after the start. You are ...

Re: iPad GPS related problems
Just found this on the XPS150 site -- may explain things: Help! My Dual GPS used to work fine with my iPad, but now sometimes it doesn't – what's wrong?!? Unfortunately, there's a bug in the current version of iOS which is affecting Bluetooth-connected GPS accessories (from any manufacturer). The sy...

iPad GPS related problems
Harry, For the first time today I was using my iPhone 4s and a 3d generation iPad. The iPad doesn't have built in GPS, so it was connected to an XPS150. Both devices had the same tracks. The iPhone recognized the tracks (responding to triggers and alerts), but I could not get the iPad to do so. The ...

Map caching
Harry,
I understand that an internet connection is required to get the map data, but is any caching going that might enable the continued use of the map view when a connection is not available? I suspect not, but I just wanted to make sure.

Upgrading second iOS device
Harry, I upgraded my iPhone successfully to the Grand Prix edition, but I can't figure out how to upgrade the copy in my iPad. If I go to the App Store, it says I've only purchased the Petrolhead edition. If I go through the same upgrade steps as I used on the iPhone, it looks like I'll get charged ...

Re: Racer's View Green/Red arrows
I understand. Have you thought of having a screen that was user configurable? This would be like the tab or task bar at the bottom of the screen where one can select with tools to place there. It could be great if I could configure my own screen with Lap Time, Gap, Current Speed, and Max Speed. All ...

Re: Racer's View Green/Red arrows
Would you consider changing the arrows so green means you're going faster than the reference lap and red slower? By faster/slower I mean the rate of change of the gap. So if on the reference lap I was going 100kph and I'm currently going 105kph, I am going faster. I think this might be more useful i...
