Re: Trigger location consistency with XGPS160

I have done further analysis and now realized a big mistake in my original methodology. I was using the video immediately viewable within HLT as my reference and assuming constant offset from start and stop triggers - this was a mistake. I have now overlaid and exported 5 laps with good data from th...

Re: Trouble with RAM iPhone mount stability

Thanks for the information. That leaves me in a difficult place as a my iPhone on the dash was my only option which also gives me instant video feedback. IOS multicam is buggy until revised and GoPro video does not upload to the phone fast enough. Any suggestions? Does the new iPad mini or iPod Touc...

Trigger location consistency with XGPS160

My first HLT use day at AX yesterday. After reviewing the video in detail, accuracy of triggers (start and finish line points) appears to be +/-.25s for the start line and +/-1s for the finish line yielding a timing accuracy of +/-1.25s for each run. This appears to correlate to the timing of the of...

Trouble with RAM iPhone mount stability

I used HLT for the first time today at AX and used my iphone 6+ for HLT as well as the video cam. I wanted instant video feedback and review after runs so I did not use my GoPro. I obtained just about the worst stability video I have ever seen. https://youtu.be/6vi-u1Jb45Q I used a RAM Rab-B-166u wi...

Realtime and LAndscape mode

Last night I started to setup HLT for landscape Video Camera mount (essentially plumb and straight center windshield landscape mode), and ran a custom calibration. Thereafter I tried Race/Timer mode which worked fine and gave correct acceleration readings. Then I selected Realtime-->Acceleration. A ...

BT Audio support

I use a Zoom H5n audio recorder in-car which I typically later mix down and insert the audio track to videos. I sync with the on-camera mic in post production. I use both an in-car mic on the H5n and also have a rear bumper mic which nicely pics up exhaust note and tire noise. I was wondering if I c...

Re: AX Setup Question

Harry - Thanks for all the info - That all makes a lot of sense. I tried out your suggestions, the only problem I am having is I can't get the Realtime->GPS Compass gadget to toggle. It always shows a compass with needle. If I press it nothing happens. I tried both the internal GPS and XGPS; same re...

AX Setup Question

I am preparing to use HLT for AX. I have not used HLT before - I have used TA for the past few years. I want to confirm the anticipated procedure for doing this including setting some triggers for splits. I run at Moore Airfield in MA, The course changes on any given competition day, but often has s...
