Redrive 20Hz GPS receiver

I saw a new entrant to the GPS accesories world recently - http://redrive.it . https://redrive.it/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/rd1-1.png It boasts 20hz update rate, SD card, BTLE compatibility, external ant included. The firm claims to be in contact with Harry. Does it work with Laptimer already? If n...

Re: Track time/distance per car

While track events are added automatically to the timeline, it is not that easy to get a sum of the _track_ driving distance. For this you need to mannually multiply number of laps per particular track distance for each event. What I meant was a number in brackets added automatically in the heading,...

Re: Car launch not detected

Thank you. OBD update rate is 4-6Hz, resonably consistent. I guess the next thing to try is to disable OBD, or use GPS speed as primary (is there such option? I only saw this in video overlay...

Track time/distance per car

It would be useful to display total track time and distance driven per car in vehicle config page. Currently number of laps is included. Some car service regimes require changing AWD transmission oil after eg 800km of track driving, so this information would be helpful. While canceled laps would not...

Car launch not detected

I tried to test 0-100 times with a faster car recently (4-5s expected), and three times in a row Dyno/Performance screen failed to record start of the run. iOS GPS + BTLE OBD dongle (5hz) is used. It seems almost as if the launch is too fast for the app to start counting. There seem to be no problem...

Sound notifications - language issue

There seem to be a funny bug in the localised version of lap time sound notification on iOS. The lady speaks numbers in Polish (default language of iOS in my case) and reads English "minutes" and "seconds" with a distinct Polish pronounciation. I imagine the same problem applies ...

Re: Tire Settings

And just to clarify, if I am using a bigger or smaller than stock tire, what will entering the right info in the vehicle config change? Do I still need to enter the OBD wheel speed multiplier? I guess there could be a flashing warning when speed exceeds tire rating - that's for autobahn driving on H...

Internal GPS vs BT OBD accuracy

In a number of “drag” runs 0-100 readings differ by about 1s between internal iPhone gps based and BTLE 5hz OBD readings. GPS is faster! Is OBD more accurate due to its 5 time higher frequency of update? It is difficult to get the exact differences, extrapolation quirks with charts of 1hz accuracy. ...

Re: Custom BT LE config

Thank you! The new version works flawlessly. Proper settings are: "IOS-Vlink", service UUID: 18F0, read Characteristic: 2AF0, write Characteristic 2AF1. ...which is moot, as the dongle is now found automatically anyway. I've got to 7-8hz on an IOS, 09 Ford Galaxy Mk3, MultiRequests at 3 Ad...

Re: Custom BT LE config

Just to confirm, the vgate icar3 obd dongle does work with Harry's on Android (checked with GPS Buddy) without any issues. 5-6hz connection is reported. I am assuming the connection there is made via regular BT, so the custom BT LE issue remains unresolved, as is the possibility of using the dongle ...
