can i use an off-line iPhone?
I'd like to be able to use an old phone i no longer use (has no data or voice plan) for tracktime duty, but not sure if i'd be able to get the HLT software installed, and if i'll be able to load tracks. i have already purchased a legitimate copy for one phone, and dont have an issue with purchasing ...

to those struggling with the firmware updater, here's the solution... The updater starts with the message “WRITE STARTED”, then about 30sec later a brief message indicates a read verify error, and keeps repeating forever. I noticed that the updater claims to have found the XGPS on "COM3", ...

Great stuff Harry. I was able to successfully record laps while at Barber in Alabama for an entire morning.
