Lateral/longitudinal data incorrect?
Step 3 in LT's calibration eliminates the rotation that results from the turn to the driver. Please note that step #3 is triggered only in a narrow corridor of driving straight and decelerating. You will have this on track only, e.g. when braking at the end of the start finish line. I have no chance...

Lateral/longitudinal data incorrect?
Ok, sorry, didn't see that. Have you checked calibration has been correct when recording. The lease you should see is that not lineal and lateral acceleration are nearly zero while standing still. The device must not be mounted flat, most other tilts and turns are compensated by LT calibration. Plea...

Lateral/longitudinal data incorrect?
How do you plot your data? Keep in mind that while latitudes have the same distance across the globe, you need to factor longitude depending on your latitude. Acceleration is not currently used to interpolate / extrapolate position. There is work in progress, but I cannot give a schedule yet. Curren...

LapTimer (Standard,Pro,Trainer) v16.0 available on AppStore
Dear friends of LapTimer, I just submitted version 16 for both LapTimer Standard and LapTimer Pro to AppStore. In case everything is working fine, it should get available in approximately one week. LapTimer Trainer needs to go through a separate testing and will follow in a few weeks. As a major upd...

Re: G-Force / Predictive lap timing / Cornering Speed / Cras
Hi, G-Force is sampled at a low update rate currently. Together with the named low pass, it takes some time until you see peaks. Due to the low sampling rate, peaks may be missed in addition. v16 comes with a standard rate of 30 Hz and can be tweaked up to 100Hz. If the lag is critical depends on th...

Re: Features planned for LapTimer v16
Yes, agreed. Hardware evolution and related compatibility is always an issue. That's the nice thing about software, it can be made compatible in the next release again. On the other hand - what Apple demands from us users on the hardware side - they give back on the software side. Compare iOS develo...

Yes, but it's the same here. The status bar is shown in VP's video view.

airplane mode?
Airplane mode turns off GPS - what you have seen has probably been an old fix. It furthermore disables access to the photo library, which will generate an issue when overlaying. The only mode flight mode can be used is with a directly integrated GPS connected, otherwise it needs to be turned off. Pl...
