If I want to use my go pro, can I put my iphone in the middle glovebox on a Porsche, or does it need to be in a better place?

It doesn't. All the OBD dongles (I know) require their own ad hoc wifi setup. As the iPhone can connect to one wifi at a time only, this is mutually exclusive to the GoPro infrastructure wifi setup. Looking at the front of the car you can see the video stabilizer working very nice by the way.

The problem is the Porsche 996 Turbo does not provide MAP (Manifold air pressure) which is used by LapTimer to show boost. it goes back, but as i said takes at least 15 seconds after i've slide down for the wallpaper to go, and the app to show again
