Re: Audio feedback about laps and sectors

I was going to suggest using Siri in the iPhone 4 to give lap info via bluetooth audio.

Re: Video recording more than one lap

I think it would be better to have a setting that would delay the video record for X number of laps, then start recording for Y number of laps. This way, you're not wasting battery and storage space during the warmup lap(s). If you had time to be exotic, then it would be really cool to give the user...

Re: (Temporary) drop of support for TomTom car kit

Does this mean that the NMEA benefits will be dropped for other external GPS units like the Emprum UltimateGPS?

Re: OBD WLAN dropping. Using w/Jailbroken iPhone4+RoqyBT4+GP

Hi everybody, As I received two additional confirmations that LapTimer 14.4 Release Candidate does not drop any more with the KiwiWifi, this can be considered solved. Reason was indeed that without the ATAT etc commands above, the Wifi dropped from time to time. The fix in LapTimer 14.4 can be cons...

Re: OBD WLAN dropping. Using w/Jailbroken iPhone4+RoqyBT4+GP

I did some more testing on the drop-outs, and found that it isn't just the location of the Wiki Wifi that impacts drop-outs, it's also the orientation. I drove around my neighborhood, which has tons of homes with WiFi, and found that pointing the Wiki Wifi a certain direction caused it to drop out a...

Re: OBD Update Rates with KiwiWifi

My KiWi WiFi and 2008 Honda S2000 shows an OBDII rate that moves around, but averages about 10 Hz.

Re: OBD WLAN dropping. Using w/Jailbroken iPhone4+RoqyBT4+GP

Woo hoo! My PLX Wiki Wifi arrived today unexpectedly, so I hooked it up, and did a quick test around my neighborhood. I was disappointed to see that it had TONS of dropouts using the default settings. Instead of trying all the settings mentioned in this thread (Airplane mode, etc.), I decided to tes...

Re: OBD WLAN dropping. Using w/Jailbroken iPhone4+RoqyBT4+GP

I just read through the thread to see if anyone has tried moving the location of the iPhone and / or WLAN device around to different parts of the car to see if the issue is related to reflection caused by the car's chassis. I believe the connection might be more stable if the devices were near windo...

Re: OBD Update Rates with KiwiWifi

I'm new to the forum, so I apologize if this has been discussed, but has anyone tested different mounting locations for the Wifi devices within the vehicle to reduce drop-outs? As a telecom engineer, I suspect the WiFi connection would be much more stable if the both devices were near windows to red...

Re: Emprum's UltiMate GPS accessory

Is there such a thing as a dock extension cable? That would be very nice to be able to position the UltiMate GPS in a more ideal location in the vehicle.
